Cheryl Jones, 70, died Friday, November 2, 2018, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. She was born August 4, 1948, in Hutchinson, to Harold and Lois (Kitch) Bramley.

She graduated from Fairfield High School and attended Hutchinson Community College, Sterling Community College, McPherson Community College. She continued her education and received her special education degree.  Cheryl was a school teacher for 29 years in the Hutchinson area.  She was also a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

On April 21, 1984, she married Raymond Jones in Hutchinson. He survives.

Cheryl is survived by: husband, Raymond Jones of Hutchinson; daughters, Stephanie Norquist of Hutchinson and Denise Hardy and husband Travis of Edgerton; sister, Nancy Hiebert of Lawrence; aunt, Maxine England of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Dick Jones and wife Mattie of Sterling; sister-in-law, Alverna Jones of Hays; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Elliott Mortuary with Pastor Keith Dellenbach  officiating. A family visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Elliott Mortuary.  Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cheryl Jones Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
