Cheryl Jean Shelton, 65, died Saturday, January 2, 2021, at her home. She was born April 19, 1955, in Topeka, KS to Walter A. and Janice May (Hudson) Shelton.

She was a graduate of Prairie View High School and attended Fort Scott Community College and Washburn University.

Cheryl had been a CMA, and receptionist at ComCare, Wichita. She had also been a waitress and various manufacturing work.

She is survived by: mother, Janice Shelton of Paola; children, Walter, Julia Johnson and Amber Johnson, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Robert Shelton of La Cygne and Lloyd McDaniel of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, and a daughter, Kristiana.

Cremation has taken place.

Private interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka, KS at a later date.
