Christine Mae Bradley, 60, died January 3, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born December 13, 1953, to Richard L. and Norma L. Ireland Bradley Sr. in Meade, KS.
After graduating from KU in Lawrence, KS, Chris taught in Dodge City at Lincoln School for five years, teaching 3rd and 5th grades. After her stint in the classroom, she signed on with Burroughs Wellcome to sell veterinary pharmaceuticals in the central plains states. On April 26, 1991, she saw a tornado wipe out the mobile home park in Andover. Chris survived.
Chris sang at church, at weddings, and during chemo.
Survivors include: two sisters; one brother; cousins; niece and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at The Venue, 302 East 30th, Hutchinson, with Pastor Andy Addis presiding. Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may sign the memorial book Sunday through Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, or Cancer Centers of America, all in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
