Christopher J. "Chris" Bertrand, 39, died January 23, 2025, in South Hutchinson. He was born December 29, 1985, in Dodge City, to Brian J. and Kathleen N. "Kathy" (Vineyard) Bertrand.

Chris enjoyed being a forklift operator, working as an automobile repairman and being a caregiver at the Kingman County Humane Society. He liked to play video games, help others in the community, repair cars, and spend time with his two dogs.

Chris is survived by: his father, Brian (Jennifer) Bertrand of Inman; sister, Jennifer (Brad) Timmermeyer of Wichita; children, Riley, Kasen and Reese; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Kathy Bertrand; son, Tyler Bertrand; grandparents, Robert and Karen Bertrand and Pete and Merie Wedlin.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
