Christopher Michael David Ephraums, 42, of Hutchinson, died October 23, 2023, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. He was born February 4, 1981, in Kansas City, Missouri, to David and Carla (Jerde) Ephraums.

Known to many as "Cousin Chris," Chris graduated from Hutchinson High School. He was a highly intelligent man who loved making things out of wood, listening to music, watching films and documentaries, listening to podcasts, and tattoos and guns.

Chris is survived by: his son, Devan Potter (Alexis Martinez) of Hutchinson; Amber Gayle of Florence; sister, Angela Ephraums of Kansas City, MO; aunts, Tammie Hazell (Johnnie) and Mary Dove (Glenn Meyers) of Hutchinson; beloved dog, Sir Calvin Thaddeus Ephraums; and special cousins and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his father, David Ephraums; mother, Carla Leach; and stepfather, Earl Leach.

Viewing with the family present to receive friends will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

A celebration of Chris' life will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. at the Rice Park Community Building, 1801 Swarens St., Hutchinson.
