HAVEN – Chris L. "Tuck" Mailloux, 32, died unexpectedly at home on July 5, 2015. Chris was born Dec. 6, 1982, in Wichita. He was the third child of Lionel and Darla Mailloux.
Chris was a special blessing that made his family complete. He had a passion for life and never knew a stranger. Chris had the biggest of hearts and always had kind words for those around him.
Chris attended Haven Grade School and Haven High School, where he graduated in 2001, went on to graduate from Hutchinson Community College in 2004, and attended WSU. While his life was far too short, Chris lived those years to the fullest and had many adventures. In high school, he had the privilege of touring Europe with an American Choir group. He later had the honor of singing The National Anthem at a Boston Celtics game. He also performed in numerous drama productions during high school and college.
He was a friend to everyone and was rarely without a smile. Chris is survived by: his loving parents, Lionel and Darla Mailloux of Haven; sister, Kari Cronk (Shane) of Missoula, Mont., and their children, Carson, Kellen and Callissa; brother, Alan Mailloux (Sarah) of Casper, Wyo. and their children, Aubrey and Tyler; maternal grandmother, Rosetta Thompson of Minneola; and many extended family members and friends. Chris is loved by many and will be missed deeply.
Parish rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Mike Maybrier presiding. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
