Cindy L. Dirksen, 59, died Aug. 29, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Wilbur H. and Marie Gibson Rod-gers. She graduated from Hutc-hinson High School in 1964 and attended Hu-tch JUCO for a year. She was a homemaker and previous owner of "R" Cafe and a bookkeeper.

She belonged to Grace Christian Church and was a member of AA, Red Hat Society and Order of the Eastern Star.

On Aug. 27, 1965, she married Richard G. Dirksen in Hutchinson. He died March 12, 1980.

Survivors include: a daughter, Julie A. Latta, Hutchinson; a brother, Don Rodgers, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Karen "Connie" Bieber, Hutchinson; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Richard "Rick" R. Dirksen.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Darryl Peterson presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, all at the funeral home, Hutchinson, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
