INMAN - Clarence W. "Bud" Nelson, 83, died Feb. 10, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 3, 1927, in Shidler, Okla., the son of James P. and Donna Marie Pollock Nelson. He graduated from Chase High School, Chase, Ks, and attended Kansas University. A WWII veteran he served with the Army Air Corp. He retired as a stock clerk working in aircraft manufacturing.
On Oct. 7, 1956, he married Caroline "Joan" Kasper in Bushton, Ks. She survives.
Other survivors include; three sons, Clarence W. Nelson Jr., Lyle A. Nelson and Lorne G. Nelson all of Inman, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and sister and a brother James P. Nelson Jr.
Cremation has taken place there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the KU Endowment for the benefit of the Athletic Scholarship Fund in care of Elliott Mortuary.
