Claribell Dreibelbis, of Hutchinson, was born Feb. 19, 1920, and passed away in Carmel Valley, Calif., Jan. 19, 2015. She was 94 years old.
Claribell was a member of the Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church and was active in the Delos Smith Senior Center and the Elmdale Senior Center.
She married Marvin Dreibelbis Aug. 24, 1941, near Burrton. He died Dec. 26, 1988. Claribell is survived by her daughters, Jean Grice of Carmel Valley, Calif. and Jackie Martinsen of Pebble Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren, Todd, Nick, Jonathon and Julie; four great-grandchildren; brother, Don Commer of Cumming, Ga.; three sisters-in-law, Adabell Kedigh, Wanda Dreibelbis, and Eva Commer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; two brothers, Phillip and Dean Commer; two sisters, Frances Baker and Betty Sells.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Richard Brooks presiding. Burial will be in the Valley Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
