Clawrence W, Hopkins' Obituary
Clarence W. Hopkins, 91, died Feb. 13, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Nov. 26, 1916, McPherson, the son of Wade W. and Mary Edith Wilson Hopkins. He graduated from Hutchinson High School. He was a Mechanic working for International Harvester and retiring from Consolidated Manufacturing in 1981 after 22 years of service.
He belonged to Bethany Church of the Nazarene. He served in the US Navy during World War II.
On June 15, 1941, he married Bertha Floy Breeden, Hutchinson. She died Oct. 12, 1999.
Survivors include: a son, Phillip Hopkins, Hutchinson; a daughter, Janet Lintecum, Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Hopkins.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, with the Rev. Darrell Bisel presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
