Cleda Irene Strandberg, 72, died Thursday, May 5, 2011. She was born July 19, 1938, at Osawatomie, the daughter of John W. and Blanch E. McKoon Head.


She was a graduate of Osawatomie High School in 1956, and Pittsburg State University in 1961, a member of First United Methodist Church in Hutchinson, a farm wife and bank teller for 24 years at Hutchinson National Bank retiring in 2000.

On Sept. 5, 1959, she married Louie Strandberg in Osawatomie. He survives. Other survivors include: their children, Jonetta and husband, David Spence, and Mickey, all of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Glen and Winfred Head, and two sisters, Dorothy Farris and Emma Martz.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011, at Elliott Chapel with Reverend Mark Conard officiating. Private burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. Calling hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
