Obituary

Clifford Lee Ediger, 92, of Hutchinson, died August 2, 2023, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. He was born April 7, 1931, in Inman, to Henry and Minnie (Peters) Ediger.

Cliff graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1949 and attended Hutchinson Community College. He worked as a press operator at the Hutchinson News for 39 years. Cliff also cut firewood all over Reno County with Willie Adkins. He was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.

On January 14, 1951, Cliff married Carol R. Weaver, in Hutchinson. She died April; 5, 2012.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Ediger (Rebecca), Laura Ediger (Jack Mullen), David Ediger; brothers, Wes and Gale; son-in-law, Jeff Shelton; grandchildren, Leah Rudolph (John), Zack Tyler, Kelsey Hartman (Frank), Justin Koeppen, Lucas Bishop; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many extended family members.

Cliff was preceded in death by: his parents; wife; daughter, Rose Shelton; and brother, Darrell.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson.

Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday thru Monday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastwood Church of Christ, Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, or Salvation Army, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
