Clinton Remigio Calma Reyes, 19, died September 25, 2008, at the Reno County Hospice House after a valiant fight against colon cancer.
He was born January 15, 1989, in Pampanga, Philippines, the son of Remigio and Susan Reyes. He attended Buhler High School and graduated in 2007.
He enjoyed football and track, but his real passion was weightlifting and video games. He was in International Club and Spanish Club. He also loved to draw and was very gifted at it.
He was a resident of Hutchinson from the age of 11. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
Survivors include: his parents, two sisters, Rissa, of the home, and Rahima of Lakeland, FL.; paternal grandparents, Justiniano and Felicidad Reyes and maternal grandparent, Magdalena Calma. Sister and brother-in-law to father, Elvie and Brian Shields, and mother's brother, Conrad Calma and mother's nephew, Jan Calma.
A memorial service is planned for Sunday, September 28th at 3 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 North Monroe. A. Jon Wuthnow presiding. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
