Clyde Cliffton "Andy" Anderson, 87, died April 18, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Hutchinson, the son of Clyde Cliffton, Sr. and Mary Eula Hudsell Anderson. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he attended Hutchinson High School. He was the retired owner and president of Superior Boiler Works, Inc.
He belonged to the Christian Church
On Aug. 21, 1936 he married Patricia Hope "Pat" Gass in Lyons. She died Nov. 2, 1992.
Survivors include: two daughters, Beverly Jean Zielke, Tempe, Ariz. and Jerry Sue Gilley, Wichita; eight grandchildren, Terry Ray Gilley, Hutchinson, Debi Gilley, Wellsville, Wendy Kay Miller and Lisa June Vickers, both of Wichita, Julie Ann Rogers, Fort Collins, Colo., Eric Eugene Rogers, Tempe, Jeff Todd Zielke, Newton and Kelly Hamlin, Walnut, Iowa; 17 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter; Kathy June Anderson; two brothers, Marion and Andrew Anderson; and two sisters, Ailene Berry and Zelma Dunsworth.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Frederick J. Obold presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, in care of the funeral home.
