Clyde A. Baird, 92, died Friday, March 23, 2012. He was born in Canton, Oklahoma, April 22, 1919, the son of William and Mary Elizabeth Morrison Baird.
He was a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose #982, Hutchinson-Reno Masonic Lodge #124 A.F. & A.M., and Ark Valley Sams Camping Club. Clyde had worked at Kansas Ice and Cold Storage, Consolidated Rebuilders and retired from Cessna.
On April 25, 1942, he married Noreen O. Marrs in Hutchinson. She died Sept. 24, 2004.
He is survived by: a daughter, Timi Schrader and husband Phil, Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Randy and his wife Marsha, Topeka; four grandchildren, Amy and Craig Donner, Megan and Doug Berry, Kara Baird, Brook and Vess Cookes; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tim Ault-Duell officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park with Masonic rites by the Hutchinson-Reno Masonic Lodge #124 A.F. & A.M. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
