Obituary

Clyde Hall, 86, passed away Feb. 25, 2010, at Dillon Living Center after a long illness.

He was born Valentine's Day, 1924, Davis City, Mo., son of J. Edward and Lucille Hall.

He lived his childhood and young adult years in the Olathe and Bonner Springs, Kan. area. In 1942, he moved to Hutchinson to live with his sister and attended Hutchinson High School.

While in Hutchinson he met Alberta Eales. In 1943, he enlisted in the Navy and served in the Asiatic Pacific and Philippine Liberation. He married Alberta Eales on May 4, 1946.

During his lifetime Clyde farmed, worked in plumbing, electrical, heating and air, was the Fire Chief at the Air National Guard Base south of Hutchinson and retired as a mechanics foreman from the Reno County Yards. During retirement he continued to share his many talents with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marthellen Ramasco; brother, Leland Hall; son-in-law, Tommy Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Alberta; two daughters, Gail (Stan) Capper and Alice Thomas; grandchildren, Shon (Jenny) Yust, Brady (Tricia) Yust, Shannon Yust, Stephanie (Mark) Williams, Jennifer (Scott) Henderson and Micah (Kristy) Haden; four step-grandchildren and spouses; 10 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; sister, June Stutzman; brother, Edwin Hall; and many devoted friends.

A Celebration of His Life will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be Monday, March 8th, at 10 a.m. in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Saturday and 9 a.m. until service time Sunday.
