Clyde A. Patton, 62, died Sept. 8, 2008, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born Oct. 21, 1945, in Scott City, the son of Fred M. and Lorene Gropp Patton. He graduated in 1964, from Greeley County High School. He was raised in the Tribune community, and had lived in Scott City and Garden City before moving to Hutchinson. He was a truck driver and had most recently driven for Midwest Iron and Metal, Hutchinson.

He belonged to Mt. Olivet Worship Center.

On July 6, 1981, he married Dora F. Wilson in Scott City. She survives. Other survivors include: five stepchildren and 9 step grandchildren: Martin Kelley, Omaha, NE, Leta Kelley & son Casey Kelley, Columbus, NE, Julia GroviJohn and son Levi GroviJohn, Omaha, NE & daughter Danielle GroviJohn, Columbus, NE, Mary Waldren & husband Walter James Waldren, Leoti and son Tyler Cooley, Scott City and daughter Ashley Waldren, Leoti, Linda Reimer and husband Kenneth Reimer and sons Bradley Reimer, Jordan Reimer & Caleb Reimer all of Deerfield, and daughter Ladora Dohmen, Humphrey, NE brother, Carl Patton, McPherson; a sister, Nina Stinnett, Phoenix; two uncles, including, Raymond Patton, Hutchinson; and three aunts including, Inez DePlata, Goodland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three uncles and two aunts.

Celebration of Life Service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday Sept. 11, 2008, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastors Ken and Luanne Haddaway presiding. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. (MDT) Friday in Tribune Cemetery, Tribune. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
