Connie Jean Penley Barlow, 66, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  She was born April 5, 1952, in Hutchinson, the daughter of J.C. and Juanita Marie (Gummere) Penley. Connie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1970.  She worked for  over 25 years in child support enforcement for the Kansas Department of Children and Families.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; special grandmother, Agnes Gummere; and granddaughter, Haley Barlow.

Connie is survived by: sons, Chance Barlow and Dustin Barlow of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Laynee, Emily, Mara, and Mason Barlow; sisters, Nancy Eidson and husband Virgil of Nickerson, Jackie Beaver and husband Wayne, Susan Edwards, all of Hutchinson; brother, Jerry Penley and wife Terry of Sun City West, AZ; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at The Corner Stone Baptist Church, 1028 E. 16 ^th Ave., Hutchinson, with Wayne Beaver officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
