Connie Sue Dowers, 81, passed away May 6, 2022, at her home, surrounded by loved ones.  A lifelong Hutchinson resident, she happily lived life as a wife, mother, friend, and secretary for the family's business.

Connie was born September 24, 1940, the only child of Delmar and Helen Doty.  She graduated from Hutchinson High School and Drauns Business College in Springfield, MO.

Connie met the love of her life on a double date to the movies in 1961.  She and Billie Ray Dowers married two years later and celebrated 58 years of marriage last October.

She is survived by:  husband, Billie of Hutchinson; daughter, Tammie Cox (Brian) of Lee's Summit, MO; sons, Terry (Pam Shirley), Randy, and Ricky (Lacy), all of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  Connie was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Eldon Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.  To view the funeral service online, the link will be available at the end of Connie's obituary on the Elliott Mortuary website on the day of the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.
