Connie Mae Zerger, 101, died July 19, 2008, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
She was born Feb. 13,1907, in Camdenton, Mo., the daughter of Archie and Maggie Rapp Rice.
She was a resident of Pretty Prairie since 1940, moving to South Hutchinson in 1996. She was the owner of Zerger Dry Goods, Pretty Prairie.
She belonged to the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Social Hour, and the EHU, all at Pretty Prairie.
On May 5, 1928, she married Elmer B. Zerger in Enid, Okla. He died Jan. 4, 1987.
Survivors include: a son, Duane, Topeka; daughters, Elaine Graber and husband Marion, Pretty Prairie, and Leona Morrison, Hutchinson; sisters, Grace Eidson, Jefferson City, Mo., and Etta Hutton, Warsaw, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bob Morrison, daughter-in-law, Donna Zerger, two grandchildren, and her siblings, Roy, Charlie, Kenneth, John Raymond Rice, and Cleola Yeager, and a twin sister, Faye Girtson.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, with Pastor Marilyn Christmore presiding. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Lone Star Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Public Library, or to the church Kitchen Committee, in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
