ARLINGTON - Cora Schmidt, 95, died April 18, 2008, at Hospice House.

She was born Jan. 10, 1913, in Gypsum, the daughter of Pearl and Nellie Reeves Rininger. She graduated from Bucklin High School. She moved to the Arlington community in 1940, from Wilmore. She was a nurse's aide at Grace Hospital.

She belonged to the Arlington United Methodist Church.

On Aug. 18, 1934, she married Wesley C. Schmidt in Greensburg. He died Nov. 26, 1996.

Survivors include: a daughter, Ella Hughes of El Dorado, KS; grandchildren, John W. Hughes and wife Tammy or Erie, Ks., Deidre Hughes of Leander, Texas, Bradley Hughes and wife Christie of Wichita, and Eric Agyagos and wife Trish of Weatherby Lake, MO.; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Caleb Hughes.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Nellie Agyagos and five sisters.

Memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday April 24, 2008, in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Ks., with the Rev. Dennis Wallace presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
