Curtis "Curt" Ray Blevins, 51, died May 6, 2012 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born November 29, 1960 in Wichita to Floyd and Frances J. (Marlow) Blevins. Curt graduated from Southeast High School in 1978 and Hutchinson Community College in 1980.
He was a truss designer, working at Stuckey Lumber and Central Kansas Truss. A member of Park Place Christian Church, he also belonged to the Home Builder's Association and Mid Lumberman's Association.
On October 5, 1980 he married Cindy G. Sumner in Fowler. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Brandon Blevins, Williston, ND and Brady Blevins, New York, NY; mother, Frances Blevins, Hutchinson; brother, Ronald Blevins and wife LeJean, Andover and sister, Connie White and husband Steve, Wichita; 7 nephews, Stephen White and his wife Adrienne, Austin Blevins, his wife, Tiffany and their children, AJ, Bella and Kaden, Jake Duft, his wife, Holly and their children, Koyie, AJ and Gauge, Josh Duft, his wife, Ashlie and their children Clayton, Casey and Colter, Darrin Banning, his wife, Kari and their children Dawson and Cassidy, Terry Murphey, his wife, Laura and their children Chloe, Christina and Clifton, Amiel Murphey, his wife Amy and their children, Maggie and Miles; 3 nieces, Brooke Blevins and her child, Ashtyn, Crystal White and her children, Gracie and Kylee, and Mandi Sumner; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Blevins.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 N Adams, with Reverend Dr Kim Biery officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-4 Wednesday and the family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
