Dahlia "Dal" Jones, 67, died December 12, 2009 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born June 20, 1942 in Glascock County, Georgia, the daughter of Thomas & Lois Newsome Williford.
She graduated from Thomson High School, Thomson, GA in 1960. Dal was a clerk at Long John Silver's for 12 years and was a member of Walnut & Campbell Church of Christ.
On September 24, 1960 she married Donavon English Jones in Aiken, SC. He survives. Other survivors include; son, Roger M. Jones & wife Wendy, Carrollton, GA; mother, Lois Fuller, Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Nancy Wellham and Lynda Wills both of Atlanta, GA; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Brewer, Chattanooga, TN and Delores Allen, Nashville, TN.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Walnut & Campbell Church of Christ. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations can be made to Reno County Cancer Council in care of Elliott Mortuary & Crematory.
