Daisy E. Peirce's Obituary
Daisy E. Peirce, 97, died Feb. 18, 2011, at Thorne Care Center at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
She was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Reno County, the daughter of Harry and Eva C. Hensley Hill.
A lifetime resident of Reno County, she was an active and excellent homemaker and also was employed as a secretary at Cessna for more than 25 years.
She belonged to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Harry E. Peirce, who died March 12, 1991, and by their daughter, Marilyn.
Survivors include: a daughter, Sondra Green, Denver; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Hensley Hill, and sister, Ina Knorp.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 22, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Robert B. Brooks, and Pastor Tim Carey presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
