A Pisces entered eternal life on Monday, November 20, 2017, with her family at her side.

Daisy was born March 6, 1956, at the old Lyons Hospital, the fifth daughter of George and Ferne (Dressler) Dolezal.
A lifetime resident of Rice and Reno Counties, she was a 1974 graduate of Sterling High School. Daisy was a telemarketer and wonderful homemaker. She would open her front door to anyone that needed a place to stay.

Daisy married Bill Carter. They later divorced. She then married Rick G. Whitmore on July 4, 2004, in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: Rick's children, Jacob Whitmore, and Jessica Whitmore, both of Burlingame, Kansas; father, George Dolezal of Salina; mother-in-law, Betty Whitmore of Hutchinson; brother, Dan Dolezal of Hutchinson; sisters, Beverly Bennett, and Sherry Lackey, both of Sterling, Gayle Stucky of Castleton, Kaye Dolezal of Hutchinson, Joyce Robinson of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her mother; stepfather, D. Webb; and son, Mark Dean Carter.

Daisy will be dearly missed by the many people whose lives she touched.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 101 E. 1st, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Jeff Slater officiating. A family gathering will follow from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 376 3rd Avenue, Inman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Daisy Whitmore Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
