Dale Warren Hovious, 81, died Sept. 7, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Hutchinson, to Joseph and Dorothy (Fisher) Hovious.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, attended Crossroads Christian Church, and retired from Morton Salt Company. He served on the board of the Morton Credit Union.
On June 18, 1955, Dale married Carolyn Virginia Worley in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Kris Sallee and husband Dale, and Lisa Shelton, both of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rick Hovious; two sisters; and two brothers.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman presiding. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
