Dale Lee Lindsley, 76, died July 13, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born May 19, 1950, in Syracuse, KS, to Dorel and Evelyn (Herrick) Lindsley.
Dale retired from farming in Ness County. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Rock and Roll, with artists such as Queen and Pink Floyd. Dale had a passion for cars, from working on them to building them. His proudest vehicle was a Mustang he built from the ground up. Above all, Dale’s favorite title was husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and brother. His family was his everything. Dale may have been a “girl dad”, but when Michelle married her husband, Shawn, Dale finally had his “son”. He was not only a mentor to Shawn but Dale was like a father to Shawn. Dale and his wife, Lynda, moved to Hutchinson in 2012, from Utica, KS (located in Ness County).
On March 26, 1973, Dale married Lynda Sue Hopkins, in Hutchinson
Dale is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Lynda of Hutchinson; daughters, Michelle McClay (Shawn) of Hutchinson and Jennifer Lindsley (Oliver Harper) of Chicago, IL; grandson, Tyler McClay; granddaughter, Lydia Harper; and brother, Dave Lindsley.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Charles Lindsley; and sister, Joanne Snowbarger.
Celebration of Life for Dale will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Taylor’s Shady Lane Cabin, located at Dillon Nature Center, 3002 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson. Light refreshments will be served.
