Dale E. McConnell, 82, of Hutchinson, died May 9, 2022, at Hospice House. He was born January 16, 1940, in Hutchinson, to Harold and Helen (Rodine) McConnell.

Dale worked as an equipment supervisor for L.R. Foy Construction. Dale loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Watching game shows was his favorite past time, especially Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune and he also enjoyed mowing his lawn and other outdoor tinkering projects. Dale was an avid Jayhawks and Chiefs fan.

On March 10, 1961, he married Donna Sue "Susan" Ruble, in Hutchinson. He loved being with Susan, they were together from the time they were 14 years old. They shared 60 years of marriage.

Dale is survived by: daughters, Kelly Everhart (Tracy) and Shannon Redenbaugh; son, Johnathan McConnell, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Sarah Stucky, Shelby Stucky, Kren Littrell (Curtis), Katie Young (Michael); and great-grandchildren, Hayden, Liam, and Brinley Littrell, Jacob and Korbin Young; siblings, Larry McConnell (Betty), Cheryll McConnell, and Caryl Woerz (Alan).

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Susan McConnell; son, Michael Dale McConnell; granddaughter, Casey Marie McConnell; brothers, William "Bill", Jay Dee, Doug, and Loren McConnell; and son-in-law, Arlan Redenbaugh.

Funeral will be 10 am Friday, May 13, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 am to 8 pm Thursday at Elliott Mortuary with the family present from 6 to 8 pm.
