Obituary

Dalton S. Hill, 92, died April 27, 2012, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born April 11, 1920, in rural Reno County, the son of Fred B. and Grace Stanley Hill. He graduated from Haven High School in 1937, and then attended Kansas State University.

Dalton was a farmer and longtime member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Haven School Board and the Haven Co-op Board.

On Oct. 15, 1944, he married Anna L. Johnson in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: three children, Joyce Ball and husband Randy, South Hutchinson, Kenneth Hill and wife Dorothy, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Cheryl Munden and husband David, Burrton; sister, Shirley Detter, Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Neva Gail Jones.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, rural Haven, Ks., with Pastor Mike Graber presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
