Obituary

Daniel Craig Gilliam, 34, died Sept. 25, 2011, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born Sept. 6, 1977, in Wichita, the son of Clay and Sandy (Lickey) Gilliam.
Daniel was raised in the Haven Church of Christ. He graduated from Haven High School in 1996, and received his Bachelors from Friends University. He was a purchasing and materials manager for Marlen International of Hutchinson. Daniel's lifelong passion was music and he was a former drummer for several bands including: Joker, Maiden China and Sarcoma.

On June 24, 2006, he married Amy R. Beden in Benton, Kan. She survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Jordan and Mackenzie Beden of the home; parents, Clay and Sandy Gilliam of Hutchinson; sister, Angela Ridings and husband Dan of Edmond, Okla.; in-laws, Dennis and Paula Beden of Wichita, Rolland and Betsy Reusser of Benton; grandfathers, Bob Lickey of Haven and Jim Gilliam of Valley Center; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Alan Gilliam; and his grandmothers, Mary Lickey and LaVerne Gilliam

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Buddy Aldridge presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday and until service time Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Laurel Cemetery, Haven.
