Daniel 'Danny' J. Roberts, 81, of Hutchinson, died December 30, 2020, at his home. The youngest of five children, he was born December 16, 1939, in Lyons, to Rollie and Elizabeth (Lusk) Roberts.

Danny graduated from Lyons High School in 1960. He was the owner of Super Siding in Hutchinson. Danny was recognized numerous times for his salesmanship abilities. He and his family owned numerous small businesses, but they were most known for Super Siding (36 years) and North Side Services, Inc. (fuel supply/distribution).

Over the years, Danny helped numerous friends, family members, and even strangers in any manner he could, sometimes by paying a bill, buying groceries, or just checking in on his friends and family. Danny helped with the care of his mother and aunts, Trudy and Margaret. He also reached out to others who were sick or not doing well to offer whatever support he could, asking for nothing in return. Danny attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

He is survived by his family: Shane Douglas (Jessica) and his children, Blake, Aidan, Calyb, Adelyn, Remington, and Ashyln and Tasha Sublett and her children, Max, Zander, and Nikon; numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by:  his parents; siblings, John, Betty, Jerry and William; aunts, Trudy and Margaret; and friend Shane Miller.

A private burial will take place in Lyons Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, and friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
