Obituary

Daniel O. Nisly, 79, of South Hutchinson, died June 21, 2017, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born September 27, 1937, in rural Reno County, to Edward and Elizabeth (Yoder) Nisly. Daniel was a member of Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church and dedicated his entire life to ministry.

On August 24, 1963, he married Iva Burkholder in Nappanee, IN. They shared 53 years of marriage.
Daniel is survived by: wife, Iva of the home; children, Dave Nisly and wife Vonnie of Catlett, VA, Jon Nisly and wife April of Haven, Joe Nisly and wife Gwen of Partridge, Beth Miller and husband Jon of Hutchinson; siblings, Vera Nisly, William Nisly, Harley Nisly, Lester Nisly, Elmer Nisly, Barbara Ellen Miller, Larry Nisly, John Nisly; and 15 grandchildren, Darren, Katarina, Brandon, Tana, Annika, Sabrina, Tristan, Corby, Jamar, Sierra, Marcus, DJ, Andre, Detrick, and Saige.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laura Nisly.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church, 7213 W. Mills Ave., with Pastor Lee Nisly officiating. Burial will follow in West Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Memorials may be made to Share Haiti, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
