Daniel Ray Schrag, 93, died July 5, 2015, at his home. He was born Nov. 2, 1921, in McPherson, to Reinhold and Marie (Dirks) Schrag.
Daniel graduated from Hesston Academy. He was a farmer and welder. Daniel was a member of the Center Amish Mennonite Church.
On Aug. 9, 1963, he married Elizabeth Kroeker in Dallas, Oregon. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Ann Schrag, Pauline Schrag, both of Hutchinson, Sarah Steckly and husband Paul of Ontario, Canada; son, Timothy Schrag of Ontario, Canada; sister, Anna Marie Pratt of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Wilda Schrag of Moundridge, Elda Jantzen of Newton, and Maxine Schrag of McPherson; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Martha Schrag; and brothers, David, Abe and William Schrag.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Center Amish Mennonite Church, 7611 W. Morgan Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Dwight Miller, Pastor LaVerne Miller and Pastor David Yoder officiating. Burial will follow at the West Center Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Center Amish Mennonite Church.
