Danielle Dawn Mathis, 36, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sept. 29, 2011. She was born Dec. 9, 1974, in Wichita, to Don and Jenny Helm Scott.

She graduated from Haven High School in 1993. A resident of Hutchinson for a year, coming from Belle Plaine, she was a home health aide. Danielle attended Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church in Wichita.

Survivors include: her parents; two sons, Sheldon Patrick and Matthew Marcus Mathis of Hutchinson; daughter, Jenna Nicole McKay of Bernice, Okla.; two brothers, Randy Glen Scott (Jasmine) of Maize and Nathan Perry Scott (Jaleena) of Belle Plaine. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oscar Scott, Leota M. Scott, Glen Helm and Cecelia Helm.

Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation will then take place. Memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Westside Baptist Church, with Pastor Tim Adrian and Pastor Josh Bush officiating.
