Daphne Clare Weidler, 89, died Dec. 26, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Thomas J. and Anna Rose Ebling Carney. She attended Brooklyn High School, Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident of Hutchinson since 1994, moving from Colorado Springs, Colo., she was a retired inspector for Hewlett Packard.
She belonged to the BPOE Lodge No. 309, NATRC Riding Club, Kit Carson Riding Club, Crystal Hills Saddle Club, and the Prairie Ramblers Riding Club, all in Colorado Springs, Colo.
On Jan. 11, 1941, she married Robert E. Weidler in Long Island, N.Y. He died March 8, 1997.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert E. Jr., Kansas City, Mo., and John T., Meeker, Colo.; two daughters, Donna Marie Drake, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sandra A. Johnson, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, and a sister.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services.
