Darell D. Jaehde's Obituary
Darell D. Jaehde, 80, died March 19, 2009, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born Nov. 2, 1928, in Ransom, to Herman Earnest and Hazel Beatrice Simpson Jaehde.
A longtime resident of Hutchinson, Darell was a mechanic for Dillons. He retired in 1989.
He was a member of the Hutchinson Gem and Mineral Society, and Retired Teamster Local No. 795. He also was retired from the Air National Guard.
On Dec. 5, 1953, he married Nancy Joan Quakenbush in Hutchinson. She died Aug. 8, 2001. On November 30, 2004, Darell married Nancy R. Burns in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Lois J. Andereck and husband Robert, Willow Park, Texas, Ann E. Menzies, Wichita, Barbara J. Stone, Hutchinson, and Sandra J. Strand and husband Randy, Imperial, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Diana Jean Jaehde.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Alan D. Stambaugh and Alex Mills officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, in care of the mortuary.
