Darleen Jean Hasler, 74, died May 1, 2012 at Hospice House. She was born August 6, 1937 in Inman to Frank E. and Ann Darlene (Regehr) Schierling. Darleen graduated from Inman Rural High School in 1955. She retired in 1997 from the former Hutchinson National Bank, after 21 years of service as a teller.
A member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, she was a former deacon, Sunday School teacher and youth leader. She was a member of Presbyterian Women.
On September 18, 1955, she married James Lee Hasler in Inman. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Mark Hasler and wife Mary Southlake, TX and Fred Hasler and his wife Kathy, Manhattan; grandchildren, Katelynn Hasler, Kansas City, KS, Ross Hasler, Lenexa, Robert Hasler, Southlake, TX and Laura Hasler, Southlake, TX; three sisters, Dolores Ely, Albuquerque, NM, Diane Thiessen, Inman and Connie Epp, Gardner, KS.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at North Inman Cemetery. Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday May 4, 2012 at Elliott Chapel with Reverend Joseph S. Rychcik officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9-9 Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church or Hospice House in care of Elliott Mortuary.
