Obituary

Darrell Stutzman, age 55, went to be with the Jesus he loved on November 8, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center after a short, brave battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 30, 1957, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of L. Perry and Silvia Hostetler Stutzman. Darrell graduated from Central Christian High School in 1976 and Tabor College in 1980. He married Connie Bontrager Dec. 27, 1980. Darrell was a retired co-owner of Stutzman Refuse Co. and a member of Journey Mennonite Church.

Survivors: his wife Connie of the home; sons, Tyler of Hutchinson, Taylor of Denver,Co and Trenton of Hesston, KS; his parents, Perry and Silvia Stutzman of South Hutchinson; brother, John Stutzman and his wife Dianne of Hutchinson; sister, Deborah Murray and her husband Todd of Buhler; his mother-in-law Fannie Mae Bontrager of South Hutchinson and by several nieces, nephews, in-laws, a large extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Maynard Bontrager.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, Journey Mennonite Church Activity Center, Yoder Campus, one mile north of Yoder, with Pastors Howard Wagler and Eric Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm and from 5-7 pm on Monday, Nov. 11th at Journey Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall, Yoder Campus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Journey Mennonite Church, c/o Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, 67501.
