Darrin G. Crowe, 49, was born June 10, 1961. He was the third of five siblings born to Ronald Crowe and Judith Snyder Sabus. Growing up, he was loved by his large family of aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. His family was very important to him.
Darrin married his wife, Brenda, on Sept. 13, 1977. They shared 33 years together. He was a wonderful husband who will be missed. He was tender, trustworthy and hardworking. He was the father of two children, Kelsey and Gavin, whom he loved dearly.
Darrin raised his family in Hutchinson, KS, and attended First Southern Baptist Church.
His employment was at H.C.F. as a boiler operator. Before that, he worked for Carey Salt for 23 years doing many different jobs. He was the past union president for Steelworkers Local 12458.
During his illness, Darrin had the love and emotional support of many friends from church and work. His family rallied around him, so he felt their love.
He went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 13, 2011. He is survived by: his wife and two adult children; his daughter-in-law, Abby; four grandchildren, Michael, William, Beth and Riley; his father, Ron Crowe, Turon; mother, Judy Sabus, N.J.; brother, Clyde Crowe, Georgia; three sisters, Starla Hunt, Theresa Diamond, Turon, Tonyia Bellina, N.J.
Darrin is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Snyder; grandfather, William Snyder; aunt, Lometta Swanson; and uncle, Hank Blake.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011, at First Southern Baptist Church, 1201 E. 23rd Ave., with Pastor Ray Kempel officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
