Darryl Bradford Cunningham, 63, died July 16, 2011. He was born May 31, 1948, at Danville, Ill., the son of Ivan "Brad" and Anna Mae Nicely Cunningham.
He has been a Hutchinson resident the past six years, had grown up in Danville, Ill. and had graduated from Danville High School and Danville Area Community College, and was a member of the Church of Christ, Naval Fleet Reserve Association and the American Legion. He was in the U.S. Navy for 24 years retiring in 1992, as Chief Petty Officer, Hospital Corporation and had been a parent support counselor at Horizon's Mental Health Center for the last five years.

On July 15, 1972, he married Sue Ann Tocco in Danville, Ill. She survives. He is also survived by: two sons, Sean and Anita Cunningham and Ian Cunningham, both of Hutchinson; three brothers, Mark and Susie Cunningham, Kevin and Chiquita Cunningham, and Craig and Jessica Cunningham; three sisters, Leesa and Tom Hubbard, Lorri Powell, Lanette and Chuck Cannady all of Danville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Arianna, Keeley, Keegan and Kyah Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew and a brother-in-law.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honor Guard. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters, in care of the mortuary.
