Dave L. Kuhns, 60, died April 2, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
He was born Oct. 11, 1950, in Kingman, to Richard Lee and Mary Dona Dimitt Kuhns.
He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1968. He was a carpenter and foreman for Martin K. Eby Construction Company, Wichita.
On March 5, 1976, he married Judy L. Blanton, in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Bobby Wing (Judy), Coats, KS, Jimmie Kuhns (Jayne Taylor) Hutchinson, Wythe Carlton, Hutchinson, and Tom Wilson (Donna), Hutchinson; a daughter, Jamie Schmidt (Chris), Hutchinson; his mother, Dona Teaney, Arlington; brother, Darrel Kuhns (Patricia Mills), Red Rock, Texas; sisters, Dawn Hill (Dewayne), Red Rock, Texas, Mary Hall (Lee Kemp) Sedgwick, and Debra Kay Chappel, Haviland; a stepbrother; three stepsisters; an uncle, Robert Kuhns, Arlington; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lee Kuhns, his father; a stepbrother; and his stepfather, William Teaney.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Ken Keeling presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington.
