David James Clinger, 66, of Hutchinson, Kansas died peacefully in his home on Thursday, July 13, 2023. David was born the son of James B. and Margaret (Peggy) Clinger on October 6, 1956 in Colby, Kansas.

David was a true lover of aviation. He worked for several airline/aviation companies including Cessna, Raytheon, Bizjet, and Avcon Industries. His "life's work" was spent on jets as an A&P Mechanic, and eventually he worked his way up to Pre-Flight Jet Aviation Inspector. He was truly proud of knowing that no jet he ever inspected ended up as a "lawn dart." He also loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and putting together his model airplanes, jet's, ships, and submarines.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and his only sibling, brother, Philip J. Clinger. David is survived by daughters Jenny Gilmore of Omaha, Nebraska, Alex Wonka and Jordan Crager, and his beloved cat, Lili Ann.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
