David E. Dale, 60, died Oct. 16, 2009, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. He was born Oct. 24, 1948, in Concordia, the son of Chester and Helen Walden Dale.

He was a resident of Hutchinson since 1968. He was a graduate of Terrebone High School, Houma, La., and attended Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, La. He was a manufacturing engineer for Cessna Aircraft, Wichita.

On Dec. 27, 1975, he married Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Harris in Pratt. She survives.

Other survivors include: his mother, Hutchinson; brother, Jack Dale, Hutchinson; sister, June Phillips, Russell; nephew and nieces, Bryan Dale, Hutchinson, Deb Dale, Kansas City, Mo., Stephanie Harris and Courtney Paul, both of Shawnee; and brother-in-law, Bill Harris and wife, Diana, Pratt. He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Catherine Theriot.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial visitation with the family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at the mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
