David L. "Dave" Schneider, 91, died November 5, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 21, 1933, in Okmulgee, OK, to John F. and Alice M. (McNabb) Schneider. Dave graduated from Brewster High School in Brewster, KS in 1952.  He served in the United States Navy for four years as an engineer. On April 22, 1960, he married Florence M. McFadden, in Levant, KS. They shared over 64 years of marriage, prior to his death. Dave worked as a mechanic for 70 years. He owned and operated Dave's Auto Repair in Inman KS for over 35 years. Dave had a deep and genuine faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Dave was a member of First Congregational Church, Hutchinson, and American Legion Lyle Rishel Post 68. He enjoyed faithfully attending and serving in the church. He also enjoyed helping the family with car issues, keeping his yard immaculately groomed. But most of all, he enjoyed being with mom, hosting family and supporting his grandchildren in all their events and celebrating their birthdays.

David is survived by: wife, Florence Schneider of Hutchinson; children, Mike (Judy) Schneider of Colby, Mitchell (Jane) Schneider of Garden City, Michelle (Kevin) Reimer of Inman, Melissa (Dennis) Bresette of Lee's Summit, MO, Mamie (Brandon) Coldren of Buhler; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Evelyn; and a brother, John.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024, at First Congregational Church, 3410 N. Plum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the United State Navy Honor Guard. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in the Inman Municipal Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday until the day of the service. Cremation has taken place.
