David Eugene McIntosh, 54, died November 24, 2013, at his home. He was born Jan. 31, 1959, in Newton, to Elvin Eugene and Karen Rae (Keckler) McIntosh. David graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1977, and attended Hutchinson Community College. He was a journeyman electrician and stocked shelves at Dillons Marketplace.

David was a member of Sky Ryder Drum and Bugle Corp, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. A member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, he had been clean and sober for five years.

He married Lisa Marie Willison on December 13, 1992, in Hutchinson. She died September 21, 2008. Survivors include: a son, Allen Eugene McIntosh, Silverdale, WA; father, Elvin Eugene McIntosh, Newton; sister, Sheri Ann Janzen and husband Marlin, Goessel; two nephews, Ryan Janzen and wife Amanda, Emporia, and Evan Janzen, Platte City, MO; and niece, Karis Janzen, Goessel.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Karen McIntosh on March 13, 2013.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013, in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Karen Rae McIntosh Scholarship Fund, or Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
