David R. Mixon, 51, died Nov. 19, 2005, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born April 24, 1954, in Alva, Okla., the son of Leon and Margaret Deloris Boatman Mixon. A resident of Hutchinson since 1993, moving from Medicine Lodge, he was a welder for AGCO in Hesston.
He belonged to Walnut and Campbell Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Navy.
On June 20, 1993, he married Debbie Nicklaus in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Derek, Hutchinson; four daughters, Desirae Sheffler, of the home, Tracy Speice, Inman, and Charlee Mixon and Mellissa Mixon, both of Hutchinson; a brother, John, Colorado; two sisters, Carole Boyers and Juanita Yasin, both of Colorado; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Evans; his parents; and a brother, Michael.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Walnut and Campbell Church of Christ, Hutchinson, with Bob Phipps presiding. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
