David William Ross, 69, succumbed to cancer, December 15, 2014, in Wichita. He was born August 29, 1945, in Springfield, Mo., to Ralph and Freda (Williams) Ross.
David grew up in Springfield, Mo., later in Partridge and then Hutchinson. He was a 1963 graduate of Hutchinson High School, where he was involved in many activities, and also became an Eagle Scout. Attending Hutch JUCO, then Wichita State University, he earned a B.S. in accounting. He lived in California for 20 years, then moved back to Hutch. Recently he had also worked in Fort Worth.
David's many talents included drama, debate, marketing and especially music.
Survivors include: his sisters and brothers-in-law, Nedra Moore, Neil and Marcia Denton, and Bill and Pat Gordon; eight nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Partridge Cemetery, Partridge. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
