Obituary

David Dean Stout, 71, of Republic, MO, and formerly of Hutchinson, died July 18, 2022, at his home. He was born September 29, 1950, in Hutchinson, to Gerald Arthur and Laura Maxine "Mickey" (Daines) Stout.

David graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1968 and attended Hutchinson Community College. He served in the United States Navy from 1969-1973. David was a salesman for Pella Windows and Doors for 33 years before he retired. He was a member of Crossways Baptist Church. David loved fishing, boating, dancing, and his country.

On March 20, 1993, he married Charlotte Elizabeth "Betty" Jackson, in Hutchinson. She survives.

Also surviving are: his daughters, Carrie Ronge of Tacoma, WA, Angie Hernbloom (Marc Galeski) of Olathe, Sherri Jones (Bob) of Springfield, MO, Tina Guern of Hutchinson; sons, Jack Elam of Springfield, MO, Jason Elam (Shannon) of Nixa, MO; sisters, Pamala Husle (Bill) and Brenda Chastain (Wesley) of South Hutchinson; 3 grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

David was preceded in death by: his parents; a sister, Diana Krieg; and a niece, Annie Struthers.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, with military honors conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The service will be livestreamed and the link to view it will be in his obituary on the funeral home website. Attendees are encouraged to wear black pants, white tops, and no ties.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with family present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Elliott Mortuary.
