David Ahring Waggoner, 56, died July 16, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Aug. 28, 1953, in Pratt, to James J. and LaVerna Ahring Waggoner. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1971 and the University of Kansas in 1975. He worked for the Kansas SRS as a case worker prior to the onset of multiple sclerosis.
On Dec. 7, 1979, he married Nancy Heilbron of Overland Park. Survivors include: a daughter, Jane A. Waggoner, Laguna Beach, Calif.; his mother, LaVerna Waggoner, Hutchinson; brothers, James J. Jr., Hutchinson, Donald J. and wife Stephanie, London, England, Paul M. and wife Debra, Hutchinson, and Robert G. and wife Wendy Wintersteen, Ames, Iowa; a sister, Mary E. Waggoner, Buhler; four nieces; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Dr. Kim Biery presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
