David Scott Wheeler, 46, died Feb. 6, 2016, at Baldwin House, Hutchinson. He was born Dec. 14, 1969, in Hutchinson, to James and Dorothy (Rohr) Wheeler.

David worked in the recycling area at TECH, where he once earned the "Outstanding Employee of the Year" award. David enjoyed visiting the library daily and riding his bicycle. He often went and visited his beloved aunts and his grandma Mary whom he loved dearly. He never met a stranger and considered everyone a friend.

David is survived by: his parents of Hutchinson; brother, Donald Wheeler of Parsons; sister, Joy Wheeler of Hutchinson; aunt, Patty Redenbaugh (Duane) of Hutchinson; uncles, Eddie Rohr of Parsons, Charlie Wheeler (Pam) of Hutchinson; and his cousins, Denise, Susan, Phil, Ginny, Cathy, Charles, Michelle, Joe, Stephanie, Beth, Randy, Paul, and Joyce. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Orin and Maude Wheeler, Frank and Mary Rohr; great-grandma, Elizabeth Weiss; his aunts, Edna, Pauline, Betty, and Jeanie; and an uncle, Bob Wheeler.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Richard Haley presiding. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
